RYDES.
Worldwide chauffeur service
Every way RYDES moves you, what each one is actually for, and exactly what the number you are quoted does and does not contain.
Seven service names sit on top of three ways of being charged, and picking the right one of those three matters more than picking the right name. A journey from A to B is priced as a starting-from fare for the whole journey, however long it takes. A day with several stops is priced by the hour, with the vehicle waiting between them. A programme involving several vehicles over several days is quoted rather than priced from a table.
Most people book the wrong one in the same direction: they book three separate transfers for a day that should have been four hours of hourly hire, and pay more for a worse day. If your itinerary has more than two stops, read the comparison below before you book anything.
Everything else on this page is a variation on those three. An airport transfer is a journey with flight tracking attached. A cruise transfer is a journey timed to a boarding window. A limousine booking is hourly hire in a different vehicle.
The same fleet and the same licensed chauffeur operators throughout, dispatched differently depending on what the day asks for.

Every fare is a starting-from price for the vehicle class you choose, agreed before you book and unchanged by traffic, weather or the hour you actually land.
What the service is actually for, how it is charged, and the part people most often get wrong.
The largest part of what we do. You give us a flight number rather than a time, and the pickup moves with the aircraft. Free waiting runs from the actual landing time, which is what covers immigration, baggage and customs rather than the scheduled arrival. Your chauffeur confirms the meeting point before you land, because terminal pickup arrangements change far more often than any website updates.

Embarkation and disembarkation at the terminal, with luggage handling included. These are planned backwards from your boarding window, because a turnaround morning puts several thousand people onto the same roads within a few hours. Cruise luggage runs heavier than air travel for the same length of trip, since no airline weight limit is pushing back on it, so size a vehicle class above your instinct.

Door to door between cities, with your luggage staying in the vehicle the entire way. It is priced as a single starting-from fare for the distance rather than by the hour, which means traffic is the operator's problem rather than yours. On the longer runs it is worth taking a First class vehicle, because the difference between two hours and four hours of comfort is more noticeable than the difference in price.

The right shape for a day with several stops: meetings across a city, a tasting day, a programme of site visits. The vehicle waits between stops and your things stay in it. Once a day involves three or more stops, hourly hire is usually cheaper than booking separate transfers, because you were going to pay for the waiting either way. Two hour minimum, then 30-minute increments.
Priced by the hour · Minimum 2 hours · The chauffeur waits throughout
A pre-booked car for one journey across town: a meeting, a dinner, a station. This is what local searches call a car service or a black car service, and it is the same fleet and the same chauffeurs as every other service on this page, dispatched for a single leg. It is pre-arranged rather than hailed, which is the distinction that matters when traffic turns or the weather does.

Weddings, proms, anniversaries and the occasions where the vehicle is part of the event rather than transport to it. Availability varies considerably by market, vehicle types differ between operators, and the lead time is longer than for any other service here. Wedding work in particular should be booked months rather than weeks ahead.
Priced by the hour · Minimum varies by market · The vehicle stays with the party
Delegations, investor roadshows, conference arrivals, production units and anything where more than one vehicle has to be in the right place at the same time for several days. These are coordinated as one programme with a single point of contact rather than booked as a series of separate rides, and they are quoted rather than priced from a table.

The same on all seven services, in all 52 cities. No line item appears after the ride is over.
Six things people reasonably expect to be inside the fare and are not. Better to read them here than discover them later.
Every one of these has to be requested when you book. None of them can be arranged at the kerb, because the seat, the vehicle or the chauffeur assignment has to be right before dispatch.
| Add-on | What it is | Charge |
|---|---|---|
| Meet and greet | Your chauffeur waits inside arrivals holding your name and helps with bags to the vehicle, rather than meeting you at the kerb. | Paid add-on, requested at booking |
| Child seat | We supply a seat appropriate to the age and weight you give us. Fitting it is the parent or guardian's responsibility, not the chauffeur's, and the seat is in the vehicle rather than installed on arrival. | Paid add-on, requested at booking |
| Pets | Carried in a suitable vehicle when declared at the time of booking. Not every operator and not every vehicle accepts them, so this cannot be arranged on the day. | Paid add-on, requested at booking |
| Service animal | Carried on every service, always. Never classed as a pet and never surcharged. | No charge, ever |
| Additional stop | A stop added en route, within the same journey. | Quoted at booking |
| Extra waiting | Beyond the free window, billed in 15-minute increments at the vehicle class rate. You are told before it starts. | At the class rate |
The capacity below is the honest number, not the manufacturer maximum. Carrying full-size cases, skis or golf clubs, take the next class up.

Worth understanding, because it explains both what we are responsible for and what we are not.
You give us the journey and we give you one price, agreed before you travel and covering taxes, tolls and airport fees.
RYDES arranges your journey with an independent chauffeur operator licensed in that jurisdiction. They carry it out. We are not the carrier, and we do not present ourselves as one.
The transportation itself, and the risk attached to it, sits with the licensed operator. Delivering the booking you made is a joint responsibility, and if it goes wrong you raise it with us rather than with them.
Something gone wrong? Write to support@rydes.co and you will have an acknowledgement within 12 hours, with a named person handling it. Dispatch is reachable around the clock on +1 888 881 7933. More detail is in the help centre and the terms of service.
Same fleet, same prices, different plumbing: central billing, cost centres, traveller profiles and duty-of-care reporting.
Travel programmes, standing bookings and reporting for teams that move through the same cities repeatedly.
For corporationsBook on behalf of clients, with agency rates, itinerary-level coordination and a single invoice.
For travel agenciesArrivals, departures and concierge requests handled as an extension of your front desk rather than a referral.
For hotels and resortsLonger-term arrangements and white-label work are handled through strategic partnerships. Operators wanting to join the network should start at drive with us.
A city service page is the local expression of the service above it, not a separate product. It carries the pickup arrangements, the local charges and the drive times that only apply there.

Work from the journey rather than the name. A single trip from one address to another, including to or from an airport or a cruise terminal, is a one-way booking priced as a starting-from fare for the whole journey. A day with three or more stops is hourly hire, which is usually cheaper than separate transfers because you would have paid for the waiting anyway. Several vehicles across several days is an events or roadshow booking and is quoted rather than priced from a table.
Taxes, tolls, road and zone charges, low emission zone compliance and airport access fees, plus flight tracking and the free waiting window. The price is agreed when you book and does not change with traffic, weather, route or the hour you actually land.
Parking charges where your itinerary requires the vehicle to park and wait off-street, ferry fares where a route needs one, entry tickets and venue fees on hourly days, and the paid add-ons: meet and greet, child seats and pets. Gratuity is optional, offered at payment, and never added automatically.
We supply a seat appropriate to the age and weight you tell us at the time of booking. It is a paid add-on and it must be requested in advance, because the seat has to be in the vehicle before dispatch. Fitting the seat is the parent or guardian's responsibility rather than the chauffeur's. Requesting one at the kerb is too late; the seat will not be in the car.
No, and it is not added automatically. Your chauffeur agreed what the journey pays before accepting it, so nothing about their income depends on a tip. You can add one at payment if you want to, or decline, and neither affects the service you receive.
Sixty minutes free at an airport, tracked from the actual landing time rather than the scheduled arrival, which covers immigration, baggage and customs. Fifteen minutes free at every other kind of pickup. Beyond the free window, waiting is billed in 15-minute increments at the vehicle class rate and you are told before it starts.
Free of charge up to 24 hours before pickup, on every booking type. Inside that window the booking is charged in full, because a vehicle and a chauffeur have already been committed to you and turned other work away.
Only if you have booked meet and greet, which is a paid add-on. The free default is kerbside collection from the designated pre-arranged pickup area, with your chauffeur calling as you reach the doors. On a long-haul arrival with luggage and a family, meet and greet is usually worth the difference.
With notice at the time of booking, yes, as a paid add-on. Not every operator and not every vehicle accepts pets, so it is assigned specifically rather than dispatched generally and cannot be arranged on the day. Service animals are different: they travel on every service, always, at no charge and never classed as a pet.
No, and the distinction matters. RYDES arranges your journey with an independent chauffeur operator licensed in that jurisdiction, and they carry it out. The transportation itself and the risk attached to it sit with the operator. Delivering the booking you made is a joint responsibility, which is why you raise any problem with us rather than with them.
At least 3 hours before pickup so the operator can assign and brief a chauffeur, though we take reservations up to a year out. Group vehicles, limousines and anything falling in a city's peak week should be booked as early as you can, because availability runs out long before price becomes the constraint.
Add your flight number and we track the aircraft rather than the schedule. A delay moves your pickup automatically and costs nothing, with free waiting starting at the actual landing time. A diversion is handled by dispatch, who will brief an operator at the new airport where we have coverage. Dispatch answers around the clock on +1 888 881 7933.
Write to support@rydes.co and you will have an acknowledgement within 12 hours with a named person handling it. Raise it with us rather than with the operator who drove you, because delivering the booking is our responsibility jointly with them and we hold the record of what you were promised.
See your price in under a minute, with the taxes, tolls and airport fees already in it.
