Cannes airport transfersThe right shape for a day in the Croisette with several stops. The car waits between meetings, and parking is not your problem.
Hourly chauffeur in CannesNice, Monaco, Saint-Tropez and beyond, door to door, with your luggage staying in the car the entire way.
Intercity rides from CannesCannes, timed to embarkation windows rather than to the clock, with luggage handling included.
Cannes cruise transfersA Cannes chauffeur service is pre-arranged ground transport booked ahead at a fixed price, carried out by a registered VTC operator. It is not hailed on the street and not dispatched on demand. The vehicle, the chauffeur and the price are all settled before the day of travel, whether the booking is a NCE airport transfer, an hourly car service or a black car to a morning meeting.
In practice that distinction decides what happens when things go wrong. A metered taxi and a surge-priced app both re-price themselves when traffic turns or the weather does. A reserved Cannes car service booking does not. The number you agreed is the number you pay, and it already contains the autoroute tolls, the airport fees and VAT.
The same reservation covers the rest of the region: Cannes-Mandelieu transfers, Toulon-Hyères transfers, Marseille Provence transfers, and a car service to Nice when the trip runs further out. For companies moving people through the city regularly, corporate travel in Cannes adds central billing and duty-of-care reporting on top of the same fleet.
Which one is right depends far more on where you are going than on which is nearest. Each has its own page with terminal detail and pickup arrangements.
| Airport | Distance | Typical drive, off-peak | Typical drive, peak | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nice Côte d'AzurNCE | 33 km | 30 to 45 min | 50 to 90 min | The main gateway, and the airport almost every Cannes arrival uses |

| Toulon-HyèresTLN | 120 km | 1h 20 to 1h 45 | 1h 40 to 2h 30 | The Var and the approach to Saint-Tropez |
| Marseille ProvenceMRS | 150 km | 1h 40 to 2h | 2h to 2h 45 | Additional long-haul into Provence |
| Monaco HeliportMCM | 55 km | 50 to 70 min | 1h 10 to 2h | The principality, by road or by air |
Drive times are door to door from the arrivals kerb, not gate to gate, and they assume a direct private vehicle rather than a shared shuttle. Peak means roughly 07:00 to 10:00 and 15:30 to 19:30 on a weekday.
Cannes is a small town with a calendar that periodically triples its population. Everything about booking here follows from that.
The Palais des Festivals hosts a sequence of events that each take over the entire town. The Festival de Cannes in May is the famous one, but MIPIM in March, Cannes Lions in June and MIPCOM in October do the same thing commercially. During those weeks the Croisette closes or restricts to traffic, security perimeters go up around the Palais, hotel rooms and vehicles are committed a year in advance, and a thirty minute transfer from Nice becomes ninety. Availability, not price, is the binding constraint. If you are attending any of them, the vehicle should be booked when the accommodation is.
Pickup points move during those weeks and they move again during the week. Your chauffeur agrees a meeting point on the day, usually a cross street off the Croisette or a specific hotel service entrance, because the address you were given in advance may be behind a barrier. An operator who has worked the Festival knows which streets go first. One who has not sits in it.
Cannes-Mandelieu, seven kilometres west, is the business aviation field and it is minutes from the Palais. During festival weeks it handles a very large volume of private traffic and its own ground access congests. Nice remains the airport almost every scheduled arrival uses, thirty three kilometres east.
Yacht work is the other pillar. The Vieux Port and Port Canto berth a substantial fleet, and during the Festival and the Yachting Festival in September, tender transfers and crew movements are routine bookings. Give the operator the berth and the quay rather than an address.
Le Suquet, the old town on the hill, is narrow, steep and largely inaccessible to larger vehicles. A saloon reaches most addresses; a van frequently cannot. The same is true of many villa addresses in La Californie and Super Cannes, where the approach roads are single track with gates.
Details above were checked against public sources at the time of writing. Rates, terminal assignments and construction timelines in this section change faster than any website updates, so treat your chauffeur's message on the day as the authority.
Published transfer times are usually the best case. These are ranges, and the upper end happens often enough to plan around.
| Route | Off-peak | Weekday peak | What moves it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nice airport to Cannes | 30 to 45 min | 50 to 90 min | The A8 west, and festival weeks are unrecognisable |
| Cannes-Mandelieu to the Croisette | 10 to 20 min | 20 to 40 min | Minutes from the Palais, which is the point of this field |
| Cannes to Mougins | 15 to 25 min | 25 to 45 min | Up into the hills, and the villa and restaurant corridor |
| Cannes to Antibes and Juan-les-Pins | 20 to 30 min | 35 to 60 min | East along the coast or the A8 |
| Cannes to Monaco | 50 to 70 min | 1h 10 to 2h | The full length of the Riviera on the A8 |
| Cannes to Saint-Tropez | 1h 20 to 1h 40 | 2h to 3h 30 | West along the coast, and August is another matter |
Each route above has its own page with pricing by vehicle class, the roads actually used and the times worth avoiding.
Intercity runs are priced as one fixed fare for the whole journey, not per hour, so the traffic is our problem rather than yours.

| Mougins and Valbonne | 10 km | 15 to 25 min | Villas, restaurants and Sophia Antipolis |

Embarkation day luggage runs heavier than air travel for the same trip length, because there is no airline weight limit pushing back. Size one class above your instinct and read the guidance on Cannes cruise transfers before you book.
The chauffeur meeting you is dispatched by an operator based here, not routed in from another market.
The capacity below is the honest number, not the manufacturer maximum. Carrying full-size cases, take the next class up.

No meter, no surge multiplier, and no line item that appears after the ride is over.
The coastal TER train between Cannes, Antibes and Nice is frequent, inexpensive and often quicker than the A8, and Cannes itself is walkable end to end along the Croisette. Outside the event weeks, a solo traveller with a manageable bag has genuinely good alternatives and we would not pretend otherwise.
A chauffeur earns its price during the event weeks, when the trains are full, the streets are closed and an app booking cannot reach you. It also earns it for villa addresses above the town, for yacht berths, for Monaco and Saint-Tropez where the drive is long, for groups arriving together at Nice, and for any schedule where being late to the Palais is a professional problem.
The full cost and time comparison against the meter is on Cannes taxi versus chauffeur.
The terminal assignment, the pickup zone that moved last month, the parking permit for that garage. None of it reaches you.
Pickup, drop-off, date and time. Add a flight number and we track the aircraft rather than the schedule.
Six classes with honest capacity figures and one all-in price each. No estimate, no range, no surge.

It depends far more on your destination than on distance. Nice Côte d'Azur (NCE), Cannes-Mandelieu (CEQ), Marseille Provence (MRS) are the main options, and the drive times differ enough that the cheapest ticket is often not the cheapest arrival. The table above sets out distance and typical drive time for each, and every airport has its own page with terminal detail and pickup arrangements.
In the designated pre-arranged pickup area for your terminal, with the chauffeur calling as you reach the doors. Pickup zones at NCE change during construction and reorganisation, so the operator confirms the current meeting point on the morning of your flight rather than relying on anything printed in advance. Being met inside arrivals on your name is a paid add-on.
Between 30 to 45 min off-peak and 50 to 90 min in weekday peak traffic, door to door from the arrivals kerb. Published figures shorter than that usually describe a quiet Sunday morning. Each route from the airport has its own page with the roads used and the times worth avoiding.
Yes. Autoroute tolls, airport fees and VAT are inside the price quoted at booking. France's low emission zones work differently from a charge: they are policed by the Crit'Air windscreen certificate, which classes a vehicle by emissions, and there is nothing to pay. A vehicle either carries the right class or it should not enter the zone. Our operators run certified vehicles, so compliance never reaches you.
Yes. A chauffeur in France operates as a VTC, a voiture de transport avec chauffeur, on the national register, and every vehicle is run by an operator whose registration and insurance are verified before they can take a booking. A VTC must be pre-booked and may not accept a street hail or wait on a taxi rank. That is a matter of law rather than preference, and it is why your chauffeur meets you at an agreed point rather than in the taxi queue.
Sixty minutes of free waiting from the actual landing time, tracked against the aircraft rather than the schedule, which covers immigration, baggage and customs. Every other pickup includes 15 minutes. Beyond the free window, waiting is billed in 15-minute increments at the vehicle class rate and you are told before it starts.
At least 3 hours before pickup so the operator can assign and brief a chauffeur, though RYDES takes reservations up to a year out. For group vehicles and for the busy weeks noted above, book as early as you can, because availability runs out long before price becomes the problem.
Add your flight number and we track the aircraft. A delay moves your pickup automatically and costs nothing, with free waiting starting at the actual landing time. A diversion is handled by dispatch, who will re-brief a chauffeur to the new field where the operator has coverage. Dispatch answers around the clock on +1 888 881 7933.
Yes, with a two-hour minimum in 30-minute increments. The chauffeur waits between stops and nothing runs while you are inside a meeting. Once a day involves three or more stops, hourly hire is usually cheaper than separate transfers once you count the waiting you would have done anyway.
Yes, and those bookings should be made a year ahead rather than a month. During the Festival, MIPIM, Cannes Lions and MIPCOM the Croisette closes or restricts to traffic, security perimeters surround the Palais, and every vehicle on the western Riviera is committed well in advance. Availability rather than price is the constraint. Your pickup point will be an agreed cross street or service entrance, confirmed on the day, because the address in your calendar may be behind a barrier.
Nice Côte d'Azur for almost any scheduled flight, thirty three kilometres east and thirty to forty five minutes on a normal day. Cannes-Mandelieu is seven kilometres west and minutes from the Palais, but it handles business aviation rather than scheduled services. Marseille and Toulon are alternatives at a hundred and fifty and a hundred and twenty kilometres respectively, and are worth considering only if the route you need is not at Nice.
Often not, and it is better to know before the day. Le Suquet is narrow and steep, and many villa addresses in La Californie and Super Cannes sit on single track approach roads behind gates. Saloons manage most addresses; vans and larger vehicles frequently cannot. Give us the villa name and gate code when you book and the operator confirms what can reach the door and where the alternative meeting point is.
